Marie Maleine

A contemporary and hip-hop dancer, my artistic path stands out for the ability to navigate between two complementary worlds: that of contemporary dance companies and the freestyle realm of battles. These two spheres have shaped my artistic identity and have been essential to the evolution of my style and approach to dance.

After several years of training in Bordeaux at Global Movement and in London at Pineapple Dance Studio, I joined several companies in France such as Cie Nomad, Cie Vilcanota, and Le Ballet de la Danse Physique Contemporaine, where I developed my stage experience through tours.

But I didn’t limit myself to the company world alone. Driven by a desire to diversify my art and aligned with hip-hop culture values, I practice Popping to enrich my physical vocabulary and artistic identity. Through people I’ve met like Soyuz, Nelson, and Popping Meng, and experiences gained in battles, international travel, and workshops, popping became a pivotal turning point in my journey.

My versatile profile makes me today a curious, active, and determined dancer, where it matters to me to be present at my own scale for the culture — through teaching, mediation, and involvement in events and the associative scene.
