Ismaël Gueye Delobbe — better known as Isma — discovered the intoxicating world of dance early. At 13 he took his first artistic steps alongside Joseph N’tumba of Tribal Jam, beginning a path driven by passion and resolve.
At 19, Isma joined a two-year training program to become a performing dancer with Cie Rêvolution. During those intense years he broadened his range with classical, modern jazz, contemporary, theatre, hip hop, breaking and many more disciplines. It was also then that he developed a particular taste for electro dance and its arm work, weaving it skillfully into his hip hop style.
His love for live performance led him to join several prestigious companies and associations: Cie Rêvolution, Cie K’rrousel, Cie Kaminari and the Growl Up France collective. In parallel, Isma fell in love with battle culture. Whenever an opportunity arose, he competed — winning the Level Up hip hop battle, the DDP battle, and even taking a victory at a battle in Beijing.
His first real involvement with M.A.U.N came during the inaugural SOY Explore edition. Together with other members, he travelled to China, gave many private classes, took on judging roles in battles and entered competitions himself. Today, as SOY Explore lead at M.A.U.N, Isma keeps sharing his passion and expertise, actively backing projects that bring dance and live performance to the forefront.
